Diagnosis
M. confuse differs from its closely related species M. hybrida and M. crassigna by its difference in shape of gamma mark and lack of white mark present above the gamma mark which is present in other relative species.
Description
Wingspan 30-35mm. Head, vertex and thorax covered with dark reddish-brown scales. Forewing median area reddish-brown coloured. Gamma mark with silvery white shining. Terminal area darker towards the apex. Hindwing rounded and darker towards the marginal area. Male genitalia with broader, assymetrical saccular valvae;Vesica with bilobular structure and covered with spinulose field throughout the vesica including carina region of vesica.
