Diagnosis
C. eriosoma differs from its closely related species C. chalcites by its less golden-orange shining on its forewing whereas C. chalcites generally bright coloured with more shining. A group of cornuti present on medial vesica and forming irregular row in C.eriosoma.
Description
Wingspan of adults 35-40 mm. These species are generally darker, its forewing deeper reddish brown and more greyish suffused, & much less shining. The metallic reflection weaker & paler golden bronze. The medial line more uniformly red brown & post medial line less distinct & less sinuous. In male genitalia, vinculum longer & cylindrical. Clavus not as longer as C. chalcites. There is a group of cornuti present on the vesica. Basal cornuti are more thick & smaller in size. In female genitalia corpus bursae longer & wider in structure & sclerotised ductus bursae.
