Diagnosis
D. impulsa differs from its closely related species C. (Acanthoplusia) indica by its reddish-orange colored basal area and difference in gamma mark which is thin and elongated than its sister species. In male genitalia ampulla longer; valva narrower than related species and smaller spines present on the base of vesica as compared to other.
Description
Wingspan 25-26mm. Head and vertex covered with reddish-orange tufts. Thorax with brown-black scales present on it. Forewing smaller and narrower; basal and median area reddish-orange; gamma mark silvery white and divided in to two halves. Antemedial line form S like structure outlined by silver colour. Subterminal and terminal area suffused with Pinkish colour. In male genitalia, valve narrower with well defined ampulla. Vinculum longer. Vesica shorter; basal small cornuti present and expanded at the middle.Tooth-like projection present on vesica.
