Diagnosis

A. signata differs from its closely related species Ctenoplusia agnata by its smaller wingspan and gamma mark slightly curved downwards.

Description

Wingspan 25-26 mm. Forewing greyish-brown mixed with purple colour. Forewing with gamma mark divided into U-mark & a silver dot below the U-mark. Median line sinuous.  Hindwing smaller grey coloured. Male genitalia with  broader valvae, clavus  pointed outside. Saccus broadened. Uncus stronger & thicker. Aedeagus is medium sized and one  smaller and thicker cornuti protruding outwards. In females ductus bursae thinner & sclerotised. Corpus bursae bulbous shaped.
