Diagnosis

C. mutans differs from its closely relative species C. eugrapha by by its smaller wingspan and paler pinkish brown forewing colour.

Description

wingspan 28-30mm. Head and thorax covered with brownish scales with pinkish tinge on it. Forewing ground colour olive green with pinksh suffusion. Gamma mark u-shaped with a small curve towards median line. Antemedian and postmedial line more sinuous. Subterminal area suffused with brownish scales. Hindwing unpatterned and darker towards the margin.
