Diagnosis

C. limbirena distinguished it from its closely related species by its pattern of stigma mark and pinkish spot present on its termen.

Description

Wingspan 35-40mm. Head and thorax covered with roughly grey and black scales. Antennae filiform in both male and female. Scape, pedicel and shaft furnished with  brown scales. Labial palpus upturned with the shorter third segment. Vertex and frons dark brown coloured. Thorax and collar irrorated  with brown scales. Forewing ground colour deep blackish with dark brown colour in it. Gamma mark contrasts strongly in the forwing and is Y shaped. There are ill-defined darker medial and submarginal patches present. The minutely waved double sub-basal and antemedial lines with silvery specks on them. Pink oval patch present on the terminal area of forewing. Hindwing  paler at the base. The marginal area suffused with fuscous. Male genitalia with uncus long and curved. Valvae broader at the base with rounded cucullus. Clavus longer and saccus broader. Vesica with two subbasal diverticulum which is armed by two small cornutus and coiled structure present  with at least four coiling up to terminal portion. Female genitalia with unorganized corpus bursae with spiral structure. Ductus bursae broad and slightly narrow at the junction of corpus bursae.
